Good Evening, Class!

Welcome Students, Parents, Alumni (and the NSA)! I don't just work from 6:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. I'm apt to be thinking about something for class at any time of the day or night. So I decided to start "THS After Hours" as a way of extending our day. If you're new at the blog, the most recent entries are at the top of the page, and they get older and older as you go down the page. Just like archaeology.

TV Beatdown -- House, or Grey's Anatomy

Judging from the People's Forum, we have fans of each show.

I don't watch either. I've seeen House enough to know the basics; Grey's I've only read about.

I only have time to watch one. Which should it be?

Grey's Anatomy if you are into the quirky/ funny relationship stuff combined with medical drama

I don't know much about House. It seems edgier, although I have seen enough to know it is funny.

My dad gets annoyed with both because he says they're not realistic medically speaking...Typical doctor's viewpoint...

Hmmm... My 12 year old neighbor just brought over girlscout cookies.

As soon as she was gone, I ripped open the boxes of Samoas and Do-si Dos.

I'm rather disappointed because they look like they have gotten smaller.

I didn't get any girl scout cookies this year... All of the girls in my neighborhood that were in girl scouts dropped out.

But anyway, Like Leah said, House is more scientific and more dramatic at times while Grey's Anatomy concentrates more on the relationship drama. There are several epsoides in which the drama in Grey's is so intense, it is hardly bearable. I am talking about the recent 3 part ferry crash epsoides and the 2 part one last year with the bomb. House also has a lot of funny sarcasm that can sometimes match Grey's Anatomy.

It is a hard decision to make but it all depends on your preferences.

I've only seen Grey's Anatomy once...the one after the ferry incident where that girl almost dies. In my opinion, it was alright but could have been more gripping and emotional, something that House always delivers. Take tomorrow's episode for instance. House and Cuddy are trapped on an airplane with an epidemic that spreads like wildfire, forcing House to perform surgury. Being the bio dork that I am, I love all doctor-type shows, but something about that House keeps my interest week after week. It's really all about personal preference.
